The student services program at Everglades Elementary K-8 Center will assist the students, parents, and teachers in the development of each individual student in their intellectual, personal, social, emotional and career growth by means of formative activities and consultations, with the ultimate goal of enabling each student to make self-directed, realistic and responsible decisions in their lives.

Guidance Counselor

Conducts individual, group, and family counseling, advisement, consultation, educational/academic assessment, secondary school planning, staff development, articulation and orientation. Available Monday- Friday.

Supports instructional services through consultations, program development, and counseling of students and parents. The main objective is preventive rather than remedial. Available Monday- Friday.

Mrs. Lugo

Career Specialist

Provides information and experiences which enable students to select and pursue an effective career education program. The specialist coordinates career guidance activities, within the school, including career information dissemination, dropout advisement, as well as school wide career-related activities. Available Wednesdays.

TRUST Counselor

(To Reach Ultimate Success Together) Conducts individual, group, and family counseling. The TRUST counselor addresses the needs and problems of students in order to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle free of substance abuse and or other self-defeating and destructive behaviors. Available Monday- Friday.
